Happy Lunar New Year, the Year of the Water-Tiger!

Today is Feb 1st, it is also the first day of the Lunar new year. I woke up with the song "Eye of the Tiger" from Survivor in my ears.

It gave me a boost of energy!

Hopefully, this song will get your juice going as well.

I was born in the year of the tiger and five elements later, I have come back a full circle to be able to stand tall and claim that title.

This will be my courageous and action-filled year! It can be yours too. Go ahead, claim it!

Growing up in a strict family and limited freedom in the eastern society for women, I was tamed as a kitten, and for many years, I yearned to roar openly but the sound only came out as "meow" and it was frustrating!

Many of us live in the pain of keeping our voices silent. Our pasts told us "be quiet and get over it!" or even worse, our own subconscious does not think we deserve to be acknowledged, so we chucked that voice away.

You don't have to be born in the year of the Tiger in order to roar loudly.

Every one of us has a kitten and a tiger within us. There are times we need to be soft as a kitten, but more often it feels so wonderful when you can step out of your comfort zone and go to the top of the mountain and just "roar!"

Your talents, your potentials, your creative ideas want you to roar!

Your courage is infectious and can be passed on to others.

If you don't know me, I would love for you to check out how I roared on the TEDx stage to get out of my kitty skin and become a real tiger. It was terrifyingly FREE and yet satisfying!

I have taken many bold moves in my life to be a reborn tiger.

I am so thrilled that my message and memoir "I Did Not Miss the Boat" has given courage to other people; to roar and share their stories.

I discovered when you roar, you create an outlet for the pain, an authentic way to be your genuine self again. And that is freedom, my friend!

If you are uncomfortable with the process and need encouragement from time to time, I invite you to sign up for my monthly e-newsletter to get inspirational messages.

Please feel free to share the blog with your family and friends or with someone who really wants to roar but is afraid.

I am also available to speak at conferences, in-person, or remote online virtual presentations. I have been a frequent guest speaker for podcasts, radio, and TV interviews to talk about resilience, hope, diversity, and inclusion.

I have enough bouncing energy to share.

After all, they don't nickname me Tigger for nothing! 🐆😹

Wishing all my family and friends who celebrate Lunar New Year a courageous year of action. Take the time to climb up that mountain and start to ROAR!!!!

If you have a thriving story and want to share it on my live Vidcast From Surviving to Thriving, contact me!
